The Bride

Have you ever thought about how much God loves you? Have you ever read about Jesus as the Bridegroom who is longing for His bride? The Church, as a whole- all belivers in Jesus, is His bride. He is waiting for her to get ready. Do you hear His heart cry for His bride? There is a time coming soon when everyone will be able to say:
"'Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.'” (Revelation 19:7)

If you don't know what it means by the "the Lamb": The Lamb is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who was slain before any part of the world existed. It happened in God's eyes a long time before anyone else saw it happen. Later Jesus did come to earth and live a perfect life. He never did anything wrong; not one thing! Then He was wrongly accused, killed, and burried. Here's the thing though: He knew it would happen. He was born, lived perfect, and died for you. There was no other way for you to get to God because the wrong things you've done separate you from God. You know what happened after He was burried? He did not stay dead! Amazingly, He came back to life after three days and is still alive today! After He came back to life, He talked with His friends for many days and then He went back to heaven. He went to prepare a place for us to live with Him. His life, death, and resurrection (coming back to life) are what made a way for us to live with God forever.

All we have to do is accept the gift He is offering us. To accept the gift all you have to do is believe in Jesus Christ with all your heart- believe He died for you and was raised from the dead. Then confess (honestly say out loud) "Jesus is my Lord". That means He is in charge of your life. That's all it takes.
Yes, you have done some bad things in your life, we all have. All that doesn't matter when you accept the gift that God is offering you through Jesus Christ. You get to start all over. It's called being born again. This time you're not born physically, you're born spiritually. You're born into the family of God. You become a child of God. The old person you used to be dies and the you that lives is brand new. It is no longer you that lives; it's Jesus Christ living through you. Now that is an amazing adventure!

If you decided to accept the gift God is offering you, I'd love to hear about it!
